Dubai Ruler meets investors, reveals surge in wealthy residents and visitors
Over 131,000 wealthy individuals settled in the UAE by 2024
DUBAI: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met today with a number of local dignitaries, investors, ministers, and heads of public, semi-government, and private sector entities at Al Mudaif Majlis in Union House, Dubai.
The meeting reflects the Dubai Ruler’s continued commitment to fostering community engagement, supporting collaboration, and promoting open dialogue between government entities and private sector leaders.
It reinforces the UAE’s direction towards sustainable development, business expansion, and robust public-private partnerships.
Vision for growth
During the gathering, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum underscored the UAE’s progress in establishing a development model driven by openness, competitiveness, and entrepreneurial support. He highlighted that the country’s achievements are a result of strategic planning, determination, and a people-first approach.

He reaffirmed the UAE’s position as a land of opportunity, anchored in trust and innovation, with an economy shaped by cooperation and long-term vision. The Ruler also spoke about the stability, social cohesion, and economic resilience that have defined the nation’s journey and continue to elevate its global standing.
He emphasised Dubai’s pivotal role in the UAE’s broader economic strategy, noting that the emirate’s progress is powered by world-class infrastructure, legislative frameworks, investor confidence, and an ambitious vision in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
Tourism and investment focus
As part of the Majlis, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended a lecture titled “The UAE as a Destination for the World’s Wealthy,” delivered by Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing.
Issam Kazim highlighted Dubai and the UAE’s reputation as a leading destination for investors and entrepreneurs, driven by its safe environment, advanced infrastructure, high quality of life, and open economy. He revealed that over 131,000 wealthy individuals had settled in the UAE by 2024, up from 116,000 in 2023, with further growth expected this year.
He added that Dubai welcomed 9.88 million visitors in the first half of 2025 alone and is now regarded globally as a premier city to live, work, and travel. The tourism strategy, he noted, is tightly aligned with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
Showcasing innovation
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also observed a live demonstration of the Unitree G1 robot, developed by Dubai Future Labs.

The lightweight robot, known for its agility and human-like movement, exemplifies advancements in robotics and artificial intelligence.
The Unitree G1 will soon be part of the Museum of the Future’s interactive exhibits, where it will welcome guests and present cutting-edge technological capabilities.
